Description
Grape varieties: Egiodola (70%), Gamay (30%).
Winemaking methods: The alcoholic or primary fermentation of the base wines, which are a blend of the two varieties above, takes place at our winery. This blend then undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle; this method of sparkling wine making is known as the ‘traditional method’. Following at least nine months of bottle ageing, the wines are disgorged and topped up with liqueur d’expédition before going on sale.
Tasting impressions:
Appearance: Pinky red colour with fine bubbles.
Nose: Red fruit character with strawberry and raspberry notes.
Palate: Fruity, round and balanced, with red fruit flavours. The slight sweetness of this traditional method sparkling wine brings a supple side to the palate. Delicate bubbles make this wine refreshing and elegant.
Suggested food pairings:
Hors d’oeuvres and desserts.
Serve well-chilled at about 4°C to 6°C.
