Le Pinot du Plessis – IGP rouge

Light and fruity with delicate tannins

Category:

Description

Grape variety: Pinot Noir

Terroir: Our Pinot Noir grows on sandy, stony soils on bedrock of micaschist.

Winemaking methods: The grapes are kept in vats for a week to two weeks with daily pumping over to extract aromas, colour and tannins. After removal from the vats, the grapes are pressed and the wines complete their alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in vats.

Bottling: Bottling takes place between March and June in the year after harvest.

Tasting impressions:

Appearance: Pale red colour.

Nose: Fruity with cherry and raspberry aromas.

Palate: Fruity and light-bodied with smooth and well-integrated tannins. Delicately textured revealing flavours of red fruits.

Suggested food pairings:

Light meats, white meats, charcuterie, stews or even summer salads.

Ageing recommendations:

Ready to drink now, but may be kept for three to four years in your cellar.
